Hello Everyone,
Well it has happened. Another ride season bites the dust. 2008 is coming to a fast end and the snow has arrived. So, we will try and do a quick recap of the year and point out the many blessings and service projects we were involved with. If you browse through the BFC photo galleries on this site it may bring back some of the memories of these events. The Prayer Ride - Was a 520 mile trip going to towns, churches and cities to pray and fellowship with different folks from their communities. Different people prayed for the BFC and offered thanks to us for coming out to their areas. However, the blessings was on us, it was a great privilage to do this and the Holy Spirit moved mightily as always. God was with our mission as we moved accident free and witnessed the Glory of God as we moved from town to town. It will be great to hear how God planted seeds and the work that God will do throughout these areas. These areas would include Evanston, Wyoming - Green River, Wyoming - Manila, Utah - Flaming Gorge Dam - Vernal, Utah - Orem, Utah and the finish up at Suncrest. We are proud to say this will be a yearly event due to its success. God Bless all the Prayer Warriors. We would like to offer our sincere thanks for the wonderful breakfast that was provided by our friends at Calvary of Vernal, Utah. Please view the Prayer Ride May 2008 in the photo galleries regarding this ride.
The MDA Run - How God is moving!!! We had a tremendous amount of Bikers come through to be fed on their way to Wendover. We were blessed with the right amount of people to serve and enough food to do the job and leave left overs behind for the Road to Freedom Ministry to do their great work. There were many biker blessings accomplished and we all wait anxiously to see God's great harvest.
We served the meals at the Rescue Mission during the time their kitchen had to be torn down and floor replaced. The amazing thing is it was pulled off in three days, sound familiar? We supported the Brain Tumor Ride and there is a photo album reminding us of the good we do for the kids whenever we can.
We give our thanks and ask many blessings to be on Dave and Candi for their upstanding service they have shown at the Ronald McDonald house. I have had the privilege to work with them during this ministry and it is tremendous the gift Dave has in reaching these people in their most trying times, getting them to share their pain so we as a church can offer prayer and support. There have been many cases of success where the Lord has come through with many miraculous blessings. Yes folks, our God is still in the miracle business.
We were able to support Tony Galvez and his military friends in the New Freedom Ride and witnessed the ceremony retiring the flag. Until we had witnessed this, it wasn't clearly known the speech made during this process follows the gospel and gives thanks to God. Go figure! You will be able to find a link on this website to Cool Marines if you want to learn more what can be done to help our military and their cause.
The BFC couldn't get through this particular year without the mention of our dear sister and her spectacular birthday that was a big event. Due to those who want to live, we won't mention her age in this article. You can view all about it in the photo gallery marked Lynn C. 50 BD. Most of you will know her, she is the lovely bride of Mr. Steve C. If you don't know him, he is the ministry lead for the Bikers for Christ and we appreciate the dedication and all they both do for our Lord.
You will re-call we spent many hours preparing for our participation in the Make A Wish Foundation and the ride we supported. Even though it wasn't a long ride, the event was beneficial to the kids they represent. You can also see the photo album regarding this and witness different MC's and organizations coming together for the good of the kids.
We give our thanks to Wylie and Esther for taking charge and running the New Hope 2008 ride. Again, there is a photo album on the site to reflect the mermories for this cause. At the end of the album you will find a picture of the great service provided by the BFC in the restoration of their place of stay. This was a good project and it is exciting to see the results and the good eye support this building now provides.
We did our annual Yellowstone ride this year and were excited to spend the time in fellowship and to ride through God's great beauty, seeing it up close and personal is the only way to experience Yellowstone. If you can find the opportunity, you should try and make plans to come and attend this event. Keep in mind the popularity of this ride fills up fast and we can only obtain so many buildings as fast as this place books up.
The last of the rides in the year is the Shoebox Run that is the only ride sponsored by Calvary Chapel and Bikers for Christ. Due to the road construction this year we took a different path, however, it was a great turn out and as usual, sponsors were very generous, even though they have been pounded all year by everyone's ride season. It is encouraging to see the support folks are still willing to give for these kids. I would like to give a special thanks to those that ran road captains for this event. Your help insured the safety and keeping this ride together. Everyone really stepped up and did an awsome job, you know who your are and the glory goes to God. Allison Long has taken the lead and responsibility for the Shoebox Ministry and manages this great event. You can contact her at Calvary Chapel through this website if you have any questions or concerns.
Well, if we are not here for the next ride season, then we have been RAPTURED!!! Gone home, so get with it and we will see you after the tribulation period.
Thanks again and we ill see you at the next BFC meeting. May the Lord keep you in his love and God Bless.
